Tuition

Non-refundable registration fee of $60 required on all registrations plus tuition.
Early Bird Registration is $1,099 if registered by June 12, 2017.

Starting June 13th, the tuition will be $1,200.

The tuition includes payment for 30 hours of instruction, a College Board endorsed professional development certificate, course materials, lab fees, complimentary textbooks, College Board booklets, Lewes AP gifts, and catered lunch at a waterfront restaurant.

ALL COLLEGE BOARD SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS:

Please return to the Lewes AP office a printed copy of your scholarship award email (must include the scholarship title and award amounts). The scholarship confirmation can be returned via snail mail or fax #302-644-0277, all our contact information is on our website. Make sure you register online for Lewes AP & indicate scholarship for payment. The $60 registration fee is not included for  scholarship recipients.

Cancellation deadline:
June 15, 2017
Full refund minus the $75 cancellation fee.
Any participant unable to attend may send a substitute for any course that has space available.

** All cancellations must be in writing via fax or mailed to the Lewes AP office.( NO E-MAILS)

 

Scholarships

AP Fellows:
AP Fellows is an annual competitive grant program that provides AP Summer Institute scholarships for high school teachers at schools serving minority or low-income students who have been traditionally underrepresented in AP courses. The $1,000 scholarships cover the cost of APSI tuition; any remaining funds may be applied to travel and expenses.

Scholarship Requirements:

Teachers Must:

  • Be planning to teach an AP course in the 2017–18 academic year; and
  • Teach in schools that meet one of the following criteria:
    • At least 50 percent of the student population consists of underrepresented minority (African- American, Hispanic/Latino, and/or American Indian) students
    • At least 50 percent of the student population qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch; and
  • Not have received a College Board APSI scholarship for the same subject within the last three years.

February 15, 2017 - Applications due for all scholarships.
March 31, 2017 - Recipients notified.
April 21, 2017 - Letter of commitment due.

AP Rural Fellows:
AP Rural Fellows is an annual competitive grant program that provides AP Summer Institute scholarships for teachers serving in rural areas of the country. The $1,500 scholarships cover APSI tuition; any remaining funds may be applied to travel and expenses.

Scholarship Requirements:

Teachers Must:

  • Be planning to teach an AP course in the 2017–18 academic year; and
  • Teach at schools that are classified as “rural” by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and in which at least 50 percent of the student qualify for free or reduced-price lunch; and
  • Not have received a College Board APSI scholarship for the same subject within the last three years.

Application components:

AP Capstone Fellows:
These scholarships are awarded to AP Capstone teachers with no other sources of funding who are planning to attend the AP Capstone summer professional development event. The scholarships cover the cost of tuition only.

Scholarship Requirements:

Teachers Must:

  • Plan to teach AP Research or AP Seminar in the 2017-18 academic year
  • Teach in a district with a median income of below $87,500 and/or in schools at which 50 percent of students qualify for free and reduced-price lunch

Payment Policy:

  • Before a online registration is accepted, a $60 non-refundable registration fee must be made via PayPal or a check for $60 must accompany a mailed application.
  • All registrations will be processed through invoices with a Due Date, unless payment made via Pay Pal.
  • Purchase Orders must be paid by Due Date on invoice. This is the policy of the Lewes AP Institute unless prior arrangements are made with the business manager by calling (302) 644-0277
  • There are no refunds for "no shows."
  • Three weeks prior to the start of the first session all payments must be made by credit card, PayPal or check.
  • No one is to be admitted to class without payment in full.
  • The Early Bird Registration is void if not paid in full prior to the start of class. A full payment tuition invoice will be issued.

ONLINE PAYMENT:

All online payments are made through PayPal and automatically generate a reserved space in the program.

Confirmation e-mail will be received after tuition is paid in full.
